My friend loves to collect cars. I am very amazed by his passion in searching for old cars from different places. He is not a rich man, though. What he does is he always looks for the rare type of car. He browses the web, the car auctions, the magazines, newspapers and sees to it that the one that he will be looking for is not the same as the ones that he have searched from. He always goes for the rarest car among all. He does checking and rechecking prices and brands and type of car depending on the ages of these cars before he could actually purchase the best one. He would go for brands and cars that nobody has ever heard of. A lot of car collectors are interested of buying the old classic type of vehicles that actually reminds them of their childhood years and era. Sometimes, when everybody is in to the trends, there are those who wanted to remain as the unique one. They would always go for what is different from the eyes of the people, something strange, something great. At first, we didn’t get the purpose of this car collecting thing that our friend has, but after what happened in our last trip, are interests began to change and was driven into, yes, purchasing cheap cars for sale.
There was this one trip that we had when we happen to pass by a store that sells cheap cars. Our friend, of course, stopped by there to take a look if there are “potential” cars for his collection. After hours of searching, he finally made a decision to buy the Volvo 444. We thought it was really a great decision of him because the car still looks good and with amazingly low price. We told him that he can actually turn that car into something that is good for drag racing and sell it in a good price. He told us then that he would not do that because he values the car and he wants it to be as is. Later on, I found him reassembling to cars from his collection to make it something good. He said he had found a picture of a running Volvo 444 way back 1954. He spent money for this and almost got low on money. After reassembling the car, he had one deep cleaning inside and in the engine compartment and a good wax job. That finished the Volvo 444 reassembled that he had found from the magazine. We were all amazed by the outcome but we thought no one would be interested of that kind of car in this modern era. Then something had changed after.
He told us that one day, when he went shopping, he brought the reassembled car with him. When he got back to the parking lot, he was shocked to saw a business card stuck on the wiper. It said there that, “nice car, do you want to sell this? Please call” At that time, my friend is in a financial crisis and knowing that someone would want to buy his car, is a blessing in disguise. He hadn’t thought of a selling price yet and he browsed again, spent his time reading magazines to find out what price he could put up on that car. He ended up calling the number and meeting the person. The person who wanted to buy his car told him that the car was like his father’s car when they were still living in Europe that is why he was interested of buying the car. With no hesitations, he met the person and sells his car and the deal was good. Overall, he made a profit of five thousand dollars. He just thought he was like got a lottery ticket and win. From that day on, he started on browsing some old magazines and continued his venture into finding great cars for sale. He reassembled these cars, combining models from different age to come up to a unique one. Right now, he is earning thousands of dollars from his junk car collection. A lot of buyers from different countries were interested in his styles.
My friend may be lucky or not, but I am going to give it a try, too. But not for profit, I wanted to get myself a car and get it pimped. So keep your mind on markets who has cheap cars for sale, they are everywhere. Who knows? This might bring you from rags to riches.
